Wisconsin Dells Youth Quake

Middle school & high school youth ministries

We have an active middle school and high school youth ministry with programming that includes weekly scripture-centered youth time on Sunday mornings during the school year, camps and retreats, opportunities to serve in our communities, and local and regional activities just for fun.  We make it a priority to engage young people in worship. Many of the youth at St Paul assist in worship in a variety of ways. We have a Youth Committee that meets about once a month with a meal. The committee includes young people ages 8 - 20 and is youth-led with adult supervision. This group has an annual budget and plans youth ministry events and programs. If you are interested, please call the church office, 815-288-2757, or  contact the children, youth and family ministries director at youth@stpauldixon.org.

UPCOMING EVENTS...

July 16-20 - ELCA Youth Gathering for high school youth and Young Adult Gathering in New Orleans, LA

CONFIRMATION

Confirmation is a 2-year faith formation and Christian education ministry program for youth entering 7th grade through high school. The class meets during the months of September – May. For a current class/events schedule and locations, please contact the St Paul church office at 815-288-2757. St. Paul currently collaborates with Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dixon for the confirmation ministry. Through the confirmation program, youth and their parents/guardians are encouraged, enriched and inspired to listen to God’s call for them in life. We focus on studying the Bible during 1 year of the program and focus on Luther’s Small Catechism during year 2.

Most young people attend confirmation around their 7th and 8th grade years of school. However, all youth 7th -12th grades are invited to participate.

Upon completion, confirmation students will make a public affirmation of their baptism during a celebration in worship at St Paul (usually in the Spring or the Fall).

For information, please contact the church office @ 815-288-2757 and ask to speak with the pastor or children, youth and family ministries coordinator, youth@stpauldixon.org.
