Co-pastor with St Paul and Immanuel Lutheran Churches in Dixon
Pr. Riley was raised in the rural town of Harlowton, Montana. She attended college at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington and majored in Business Administration with special focus in Management and Human Resources. During her time at PLU, Riley started to feel the push towards ministry. In 2020, an opportunity arose for Riley to attend Wartburg Theological Seminary online, and she jumped right in! She ended up moving to Dubuque, Iowa to study in-person in January of 2021. While in seminary, Riley served her internship year at Saint Michael Lutheran Church in Omaha, Nebraska (2022-2023). Throughout seminary, she did “pulpit supply” and worship leadership all over! Most recently, she was at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lanark, Illinois. Riley graduated in May 2024. Riley’s favorite parts of ministry are leading worship, flexing her administrative skills, and creating fun and interesting events and
resources for congregations. In her free time, Pr. Riley loves to craft, hang out with her family, be outside (hiking, skiing, kayaking, golfing, etc…), or sit on her chair and read her book with her cat, Loki. In Loki’s free time, he likes to nap in patches of sun, meow at his sisters, Daisy
and Chick, and look out the window for birds.
Riley’s favorite scripture reading is Ezekiel 37:1-3, “The hand of the LORD came upon me, and he brought me out by the spirit of the LORD and set me down in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me all around them; there were very many lying in the valley, and they were very dry. He said to me, “Mortal, can these bones live?” I answered, “O Lord GOD, you know,” (NRSVUE).
Sometimes we all find ourselves in times where all we can say is “O Lord God, you know,” and it is such Good News that God in the Holy Spirit brings new life to those places in which we are uncertain, afraid, and overwhelmed.

Pr. Anthony is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He attended college at UW- Eau Claire and it was at UWEC he discerned his calling to ministry. After graduation he attended Wartburg Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa, graduating in 2023. Pr. Anthony served as seminary intern and then interim of St. John's Lutheran Church in Mendota, Illinois (2022-2023), and then interim of Faith Lutheran Church in Andover, Iowa (2023-2024) before being called to serve as co-pastor of St. Paul's and Immanuel here in Dixon. His favorite part of ministry is getting to know people's stories and leading worship. Outside of the church Pr. Anthony loves spoiling his two dogs, Daisy and Chick, reading (mostly theology books), and hiking and antiquing with his wife.
My go-to favorite Scripture reading is John 13:34-35, "I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." (NRSVue)

Gerad grew up in the Sauk Valley and loves living in this midwestern paradise. He has been leading children, youth and family ministries and music ministry in ELCA congregations since 2002 and has been serving alongside the people of St Paul since 2022. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Ministry from Wartburg College. Gerad enjoys volunteering for the mentorship programs at Sterling and Dixon Public schools. He finds great joy witnessing God at work in the lives of young people, and he feels privileged to accompany youth and families in the life of the church. Gerad’s greatest passion is his family, and he delights in spending time with his wife, Cindy and their two daughters.
A favorite Bible verse – “Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.” [Philippians 4:9, The Message transl.]
Rhonda loves people. Her ready smile will greet you when you come to St. Paul during church office hours. She has served in multiple areas of ministry but finds her gifts best suited to helping and encouraging. Rhonda is thankful for the opportunity to work in the office at St. Paul. Her favorite things include coffee, ethnic food, her husband, and spending time with her grown children, although not in that order.
One of her favorite scripture verses is
“God is faithful” 1 Corinthians 1:9.
